If the Achaiah has a (more sinister) twin, it's Karbala. The Karbalan system is one of the few systems that no one dares to venture for the same reason no one dares to visit the Achaian system - sure death. Very little is known about Karbala but what is known is that the system revolves around a volatile binary and the planets are often bombarded with extreme doses of radiation that can kill known organisms - yet surprisingly the system is thriving with life. No one has ever studied the local species up close. Just like Achaiah, the organisms are highly infectious and fatal to those who come in contact with them.
